Hi. Can enyone help with an engine management light problem?
Have a 2001/2 GC 2.7 diesel and the engine management light ONLY comes on when it is warm and idling (ie at traffic lights, roundabouts etc.). It's fine if I can keep the revs up but, unfortunately, you can't always do that!
Sometimes it also slips into limp mode but then sometimes it doesn't (just the light on!).
If I flip the ignition off and on 4 times I get the following codes on the odo
P0235 then P0243 then back to the normal odo reading.
Can anyone shed light on this? Any help much appreciated.

Turbo wastegate solenoid or it's wiring is buggered, causing overboost.
P0235 - Turbo/Super Charger Boost Sensor A Circuit (Manifold pressure reading above turbocharger over-boost limit detected during engine operation).
P0243 - Turbo/Super Charger Wastegate Solenoid A (Open or shorted condition detected in the turbocharger wastegate solenoid control circuit).

Thanks very much for the speedy reply and the info.
Time to get the hands dirty I think!

Sorry to hijack the thread but my 2002 GC also recorded a P0243 the other day. I was accelerating up a fairly steep hill when the light came on. Light has gone off and not returned but I now get a hugely noticable whooshing sound at anything other than 2.5k revs.
