Hello. It seams that my XJ has got broken head gasket.
I would like to fix it myself  buy I had done nothing like that before.Any ideas where to search for help.I only got Haynes manual. Also where to look for a parts.do I need some special tools?
Maybe I'm just being stupid But I would like to feel the satisfaction when It will be done well.
Thanks guys

Petrol will be pretty straightforward but I'd guess it's diesel too

Hi Guys
 Yeah you are right.

Not too tricky, worth getting the head checked for 'flatness' (wrong term I know!) and cracks. It's not a complicated engine and there's much more room to work in the engine bay of a 2.5 so it shouldn't be tricky. It's worth getting a Factory Workshop Manual for this type of job.
