hi, im wanting to change autogear oil, is this easy enuff? Ive also been told to replace filter? Is there one? 98 cherokee 4.l petrol automatic, cheers
-
its easy but messy, as there is no drain plug in the pan so you open it up and it spills out everywhere. then the filter is inside the tranny its a flat thing. held in by bolts youll also need a sump gasket

My 98 has a drain plug. I'm about to do the filter change too, it is a flat thing and you are supposed to change it about every 40k miles I believe.
-
sorry i assumed it was the same as the zj which some twat decided not to put a drian plug in. i mean how stupid can you be?
-
It has a drain plug, the oil pan has no gasket, you need to reseal with RTV.

just yesteday i smashed my windscreen fitting some highlift mounts on the hood, was holding a spanner on the nut at the top and using the windy gun to do it up underneath so as to be nice and quick but i let go go the spanner
i think im getting worse
