Title: Handbrake cable
Post by: tartanzj on July 07, 2008, 04:32:43 PM
My handbrake cable is at its max adjustment so I reckon I need a new one. Does anybody know if the cable comes as a complete kit or if you can buy each section separately. If it's separately what ones need changed and where's the best place; Lighthouse etc?

I would de adjust the cable, remove the brake discs and sww if the parking brake shoes have any linings left on them.

Got new pads on, plenty of life left in them. Well until the next muddy venture when they get a load of mud in them and eat the pads again.

I'm not talking about the pads. The disc has a drum in the centre containing handbrake shoes.
