How could one of these 'fail' and be part of a MOT failure??
-
If the bushes are worn or fixings are loose.
-
Couldn't the bushings be replaced or the fixings tightened..?
-
yes
-
Thank you both...
-
Or alternatively just take it off for the MOT.
I did this when I was waiting for some JKS discos to come. Went through the mot no probs & drove it for a few weeks like it; just handled a bit like a boat!

i think the zj is a dream without swaybars connected, so much smoother and mellow, just ahh
-
take the mount bolts out very slowly, the threads on the welded in nut was toast and wanted to snap.
-
I've got a spare set of JKS ball shaped bushes if you want to have them to get you through the MOT and just replace them direct from JKS at your leisure.
-
Tis sorted now......

Drove mine once on the road with the front disconnected and I certainly wasn't feeling mellow every time I entered a corner

Ya gotta drive with your disconnects undone just in case a green lane turns up and the steering goes funny
