Just goes to show you should always have second thoughts before rescuing a Landie
Bit of a bummer to do that whilst doing a good turn though isn't it, hope you get it fixed soon. I've heard a bloke can go mad suffering Jeep withdrawl symptoms!
-
If the parts arrive on time it should be back on the road this weekend
-
How the hell did that happen Mart?It was all soft sand.I've never seen a failure that dramatic.Have you found the cause yet?
-
Ouch
Was that one of the new diffs you had fitted?
-
Washed out the axle casing and still no reason for the failure maybe just a weak gear i suppose. They wern't new gears they were used from my old diff carrier it was just the ring and pinion that were replaced and they don't seem to have any damage on them so it aint all bad.

still no parts arrived yet and starting to get jeep withdraw symptoms :-D

Parts arrived today while i was at work,so they are now all fitted a nice easy job.just have to wait for the RTV sealer to go off and put the oil in, then road test
