Title: Grand Cherekee 3.1td auto 2001

Hi all
New to the forum and to Jeep ownership, having owned a pajero 2.5td for the last 5 years I have just bought a Grand Cherekee LTD 3.1 td auto 2001 model and was just wondering how reliable these engines are. Any comments or helpfull advice would be much appreciated as I know next to nothing about cherekee jeeps.

I've had an 01 3.1 td for six months now, not had any problems at all just been up to lake district on hols covered 800+ miles didnt miss a beat, also fuel averaged 29 mpg for the whole trip  on the whole they are a bit agricultural, but very reliable engines

governor thanks for comments, I got mine yesterday ( Thursday) and we are going on holiday tomorrow, so hope mine is as reliable as yours.
