Problem is with secondhand ones is they have usually been modified in some way...........you can get a new one complete with arial & mount for less than 100 beer tokens!! New ones tend to be smaller too, which makes them easier to stick in yer jeep!

On the subject; did you sort yours out yet KD????

If the readings off the scale, I'd put my money on a bad earth on the whip mount.

I'd agree with KD (bugger!!!!!

Got mine from this guy:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 07418&rd=1 (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40055&item=5788007418&rd=1)

He's a genuine guy with decent prices.

I think the whole lot brand new, cb/arial and mount with postage came to around £70

mounting one is no problem
rich and i have made up some overhead brackets and spare wheel areal mounts for wranglers and have them in stock ready to ship.
all the wirung hides away inside the overhead mount so nothing is seen

at £30 normal retail for overhead accesory mount
and £18 for the arial mount............ but for birtys you will get them for
£25 and £14
