Going to look into this, the only thing that was stopping me doing an SYE was the hassle sorting a prop out

I can then bolt up an XJ front prop in the rear.

The only trouble you may have is prop length. A front prop from a 4.0 auto will work fine if you have a Dana 44 or Chrysler 8.25 rear axle but may be too short for the standard D35 (it has a shorter pinion length). I think you may find that a front prop from a ZJ or a diesel XJ is a touch longer and may work.
I part the Spicer flange from rockauto in the states for a reasonable price if you are having touble sourcing one.
The only downside is the amount of maintenance these Jeep front props seem to need. It's only regular greasing and inspections but they do seem to wear really easily in the slip joints if they go ungreased for a while.
