Title: Feeling Pretty good about fixing my electrical fault.
Post by: snozzer on August 18, 2008, 05:59:44 PM
Been away up in the Lakes for a week and had an intermittent electrical fault that I tracked back to the ASD circuit.  I was going to change the relay, but on moving the fuse box the circuit powered up.  So out comes the fuse box and I noticed one of the wires had been kinked and pinched against the box during assembly.

A quick scrape removing the insulation with a scapel showed the wire was snapped inside making the intermittent fault.  5 minutes and 1 crimp later all is well with the Snorkel mobile.  How much would a stealership have charged for that, assuming they had correctly tracked it down...

So, feeling smug and going to treat myself to a few whiskeys this evening  8-)  8-)  8-)

I reckon after a few weeks replacing bits pointlessly they would have given up !  but still charged you a few hundred squids!
