My XJ passed its MOT :-(
Anyone know of any dramas with front discs or is it pretty straight forward?
Whose the best place for discs and pads?
Do I need any extras when changing them (i.e. special washers etc)?

Nothing special, cheapest around here is your local motor factor. Expect to cough up about £120 for the lot. Don't tighten the caliper bolts up too much or you'll need a helicoil - don't ask me how I know...

I've fitted a set of these a couple of years ago from a local ebay trader and they've been fine ever since:

Try Mansfiekd 4x4, Lighthouse Jeep or Ebay.
