Post by: pajero on September 27, 2008, 11:33:17 AM
Any ideas on how to release the end fastening on these?  The button on one has gone solid and therefore I cant move the bar.

Maybe button has seized through lack of use.You could try a penetrating oil or WD40 maybe.Apply a few times and leave to soak in,then tyr it,maybe using a bit of gentle persuassion at the same time, just a suggestion

i did mine with  some wd 40 then a  small hammer, just tapping gently then they free'd off, its usually just clogging things up a bit

WD 40 and press the buttons on a regular basis to keep them free...

Thanks for replies.  Done the WD40 and physical persuasion but to no effect.  Bought the truck with the damn thing stuck, I was hoping for a more technical fix than a hammer!  Even in several different sizes.
