Title: Bit of advice and a bit of help needed
Post by: Anonymous on July 21, 2005, 09:27:37 AM
Sadly its MOT time today and whilst checking out Mr TJ yesterday I discovered a blown drivers side reversing lamp bulb

Went to change it and upon removing the lens found the assembly full of water..might be worth checking out

However having checked the nearside one cause appears to be a missing foam rubber gasket thing
Any views where I can get a replacement 4 wd/Quadratec don't show one

dealer or lighthouse or is there a Halfords fix?

Try using some foam draft (?) excluder (??) from B&Q type place.

Had thought of that just hoping there's a more automotive type option

I'd be inclined to go to a Dealer Stew.  It'll only cost a few quid, they'll be able to identify the right bit, and you'll save yourself a lot of hassle.

Stuff Pork Pies in the gap.... :)

Then use No Nails to make sure it's as tight as can be....

You could measure up for an O'Ring the right size if it's got a reasonable groove....

The Thin Bungee Strap they do in B&Q migt just do it as well....

Damn.... that was two sensible answers in one post...

Neither Lighthouse nor Westbury have a suitable bit so I think its the B&Q route unless someone has a better idea
