Hi, can anyone tell the type of power steering fluid I need for 98 grand cherokee as normal I wait to its to hard to turn the wheel

Mike should be able to answer this correctly but i gather it's a specific type for the jeep brand rather than the normal stuff at halfrauds, i think the price is comparable as well, but dont get it on your hands as it's bad for you unless jeep ahve altered the spec to be a bit more enviromentally friendly

You must use MOPAR Power Steering Fluid or equivalent. Do not use automatic transmission fluid and do not overfill.
That's basically what it says in the FSM and the same is true for my TJ. I think I got my power steering fluid from Halfords as my local car shop wasn't open at the time. Just make sure you get a fluid that says Power Steering Fluid on the bottle and not Automatic Transmission and Power Steering fluid.
From what I remember it was only available in small bottles in halfords and is expensive. It's probably as cheap to buy the proper mopar stuff from the dealers.
The part number for Mopar MS5931 specification fluid is 4883077 per 0.95 litres (quart).
