Post by: blamblam on December 05, 2008, 09:32:43 AM
What is the general opinion on what kind of PSi should i should be running, couple of my tyres look abit low but i'm clueless as to what they should be...i've also noticed my avg fuel consumption has gone up recently..

you can work it out off the sidewall.
Work out the load on each tyre then look at the max load & pressure on the tyre, the psi you need will be a percentage of that.

Eg (made up figures)
tyre says 500kg at 50psi max and the wheel loading is 250kg then you need 25psi etc etc

or you could try the std 30 since most garage tyre inflators are not correct.

run at the pressure and check the tyre wear pattern, not much help with all this wet stuff on the road so stick with 28
