Hi to you all, hope you had a good Christmas. Thanks for a great welcome on the introductions ,have a 51 grand cherokee .Both the heated switches lights come on but no heat to my butt.Is this a common fault and is it a easy fix or does it mean stripping down the seats thanks for any help cheers pete
-
one for dr mike i would think.
-
common i think and yes i think for a permanant fix you skin the seat and replace the heaty bit but at least it will keep you busy so ya butt wont be cold
-
There will probably be a broken wire in the heat pad in the cushion. If you remove the leather cover you will find a burnt patch where it has failed. You can usually fish out the broken wire and solder it back together, or get a replacement heat pad from Chrysler.

Had to do my seat its just a bust/burnt wire, so just put a new bit in, easy fix I just put about 4" of new wire in with normal connections and now its nice and warm on me bum :!:

hi, andy here. just bought another jeep for my wife and its seats dont work. i read all your comments about it and i have a small question... when you take the leather cover off will it go back easily? without looking like a cheap seat cover!
