Title: Transfer Case Fluid

So whats the difference between Mopar Transfer Case Fluid and Standard ATF 4 ?? Doing an oil change on my 1999 GC V8 on Saturday with the correct Mopar fluid ,cost £17 inc P&P .

The 247 transfer case has a multi plate clutch system which controls the power split front to rear. The fluid is formulated especially for this purpose, incorrect fluid will cause driveline shudder. We used to use Mobil Agri Fluid 424 as a bulk alternative, I don't know if you can get it in small packs.

I did look around for the mobil equivilant ,the smallest amont seemed to be 20ltrs at between £60/£70
