Title: Coolant Change
Post by: mike213735 on January 21, 2009, 08:50:05 PM
Hi, me again :)

Can anyone post a picture of the radiator drain plug on a 1995 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l as it is my intention to change my coolant over the weekend.

Also, any tips would be greatly received.

The car is a 1995 Cherokee 4.0l

Thanks
Mike

if it's the same as a 93 yr then the rad drain is a pain to get at and potentially very fiddly to get any pliers in. the easiest option is to pull the bottom hose off as it's only a compression spring clip holding it on.

  Far easier and harder to break.  8-)

As I recall, the drain plug is on the drivers side, but you'll be best to take the grille off to get to it. It's a quarter turn plastic affair. But just take off the bottom hose, it's easier.
