-
Bad news there Hope it gets sorted soon
-
Mick O found this regards codes,:-
42 Automatic shutdown relay circuit open or shorted
OR
42 Fuel pump relay control circuit
OR
42 Fuel level unit - no change over miles
OR
42 Z1 voltage missing when autoshutdown circuit energized (The Z1 voltage is the voltage of the circuits fed by the autoshutdown relay. This typically includes fuel pump and switched-battery feed to the ignition coil)
Hope its of use mate.Code 12 is just computer or battery has been disconnected/reconnected according to the info on this site.
Good luck,hope its sorted soon

Thanks Mick,
I think this data says a little more than I've had before.
Guess its because its not written in Jeeplish :sledgehammer: 8)
-
Hope you can understand it,especially the very last part about 42 z1 ,sounds almost like a foreign language to me
-
And you wonder why I've switched back to Landies!?!
Never mind - hope you get it resolved quickly...
-
Im not quite as bad,for i just went back to an older jeep, without all thes modern sensors etc on-less to go wrong and easier to maintain.....i hope

I`m havin a similar recurring type prob with my ZJ,gets very frustrating dunnit, think I might go back to my big hammer and screwdriver easy fix Range Rover, all this code stuff is gibberish to me
-
I suppose its good in the way of making it easier to diagnose problems, but i guess that its like most modern cars-theres just too much to go wrong and they`re not as easy to work on as the older ones
-
never mind micko your cj wont take that much longer
-
Dunno about frustrating, its really pissing me off :smt102
-
