32x15 (low ground pressure tyres) won't fit on a 7j rim, but then again, 235\85r16's won't fit on a 15x10 rim.
I'm about to put some 235\85r16's on stock zg rims with a 4" lift and they will clear on full compression if that helps?

Either or, or both.
If you measure how much room you have between the top of the tyre and the spring / shock / body you have now under full compression (make sure you do that safely) on the back end.
Say your running 225's at the moment and you've 25mm of space between the body and the edge of the tyre minimum.
Since the tyre goes an equal distance each way of the centre of the tyre, that means you can fit upto a 225 + (25*2) 275 tyre width ways at the same height with no alteration to the offset.
If you want to fit a higher tyre, do the same measurement with a flat edge against the side wall and again take some measurements above where the top of the tyre is at a height equivilant to the proposed tyre. The distance between the tyre and the closes thing will be smaller due to the angle the wheel is at under compression.
If you have 10mm to play with, and you want to fit 265\75r16 (31.7" iirc) and your stock tyre is 225\70r16 your tyres will be 40mm wider. That's 20mm each way, so you'll need a minimum of 10mm of offset or spacer for the tyre to fit - All depends on the measurements you get - I just made those figures up.
You could just lengthen your bump stops, but you'll loose articulation then, so imo not worth it.
The front end, do the same thing, remeber though you can adjust your steering stops if there's an issue with fowling.
At a guess, 32mm (a common wheel spacer size) will clear most things unless your going for low ground pressure tyres.

you should.nt really cos effectivly the tyre is too wide for it but there's hundreds of people out there that do it, an its not as if it wouldnt be safe.
you'd be able to run the pressures quite low without risk of popping a bead too
but i agree you'll definatly need a set of spacers, otherwise you'll end up with a steering lock worse than a landrovers!!!!
