Hi all,
Got the 96 Cherry 4.0 rear axle fitted to my 98 face lift [Previous post 14 jan], it was a dana 35 with slip and is perfect , well almost, The only problem i had was the ABS sensors off of my 98 axle didnt fit. it was as if they were too big, or the ABS rings on the 96 axle were bigger. So I cunningly re- drilled the back plate so i could fit them. Now just as i am coming to a halt the ABS cuts in even on the stickiest of surfaces, is this going to be a problem and can it be cured. At least im back on the road.

the abs sensor looks at the number of teeth on the tone ring.
it needs to be the same as the original, not sure how you will get round that

all the tone rings need to be the same size as any difference between the front and rear in speed relation will result in the abs working
