Title: Rubber flap under grill - do i need it ?
Post by: brendjill on February 04, 2009, 07:10:28 PM
If you look in  this picture there is a rubber flap hangin down in the front of the vehicle under the grill. I keep putting it back into place but it always falls back. What is it and is there a way to secure this and do I even need it ?

I have one on mine, its like a sheet under the engine that stops all the water and crap from the road getting up in the engine bay.

Just fix it up with some cable ties or new fixings.

A steering skid of a Mk1 will fit a Mk2, but they weren't standard on Mk2s.

I ripped mine off 3 years ago. Got fed up with it hanging down and I've never had a problem with it not being there.
