Hi, electricals arent me favorite. Rang Jeep they say that an electrical module is the problem. They think it's all related and that a new module is £300 (I'll skip that option), but they can re-configure it to work, probably.
Is the module in the drivers door panel? Should I bother having a tinker or if it is in the door should I try a secondhand driver door panel incl control panel, or should I take along to jeep. Im on a tight budget and have a few mechnical probs that I need to sort and if I have to spend cash I what to to it in the best ways.
Oh yeah me "service is due o miles" warning is on, is there an easy wasy to deal with this. All advice much appreciated.

Sorry folkes, newbie. I've got a P Reg '97 MK1 Grand Cherokee 4.0 Limited, Auto, in mauve.
All the electric windows have stop working, as well as the passengers electric mirror and the driver's door doesn't lock using the remote, but the other doors n ' boot do.....

Sounds like it could be the body control module in the footwell its behind a panel next to the accelerator pedal

Thank you for reading my problem, but just been out and had a big fumble around and low and behold the windows, mirror and door locking problems are solved ( for now). It's a lose connection whch I'll sort out later. Much easier than the "Body control module", but thanks for pointing me in it's direction Bish.
Also I love the Americans, don't they make it easy. I've discovered that I can re-set the service warning message myself. It's another function on the buttons you use to set the clock! All sorted in an hour or so. If only all problems could be sorted so easily. When the warm weather comes it's fluid changes in the auto box and diff's to follow.
Thank you if you need read. 8-)

No problem

Your problem is that the door module (in the switch pack) occasionally gets spiked by the central locking solenoid freezing it. You just have to disconnect the battery to make it reboot.

Thanks Mike I'll remember that and give it a go if/when it happens again. Cheers
