For the money I thought I might give one a go for everyday driving. Unless someone knows better?

Not myself, but those tuning systems seem to give good gains on CRD engines. I would recommend servicing the vehicle on the lower service interval regime though, just becuase you're taking the ECUs map to beyond where the factory would like it.
