Any know what the towing capacity of a Mahindra CJ3B with the 2.1 diesel is?
-
dunno but you can bet it will easily tow more than its rating
-
How about a braked car transporter with two tons sitting on it?
-
probably over its limit but ya never know you got a mindy now
-
Might have one by next weekend if everything goes OK

I ain't got it yet.
Ain't countin my chickens before they hatch, I've had some real nightmare deals on eBlag, will wait and see with this one.

don't think the engine really matters as its all about kerb weights etc but this may be of some use:

So it's only rated to tow 2,240lb (one imp ton)
That's bad news.
I think the series Lard Rovers were rated to tow upto 3,500 Kgs with a braked trailer (thats if the half shafts dont snap)
-
there's a big difference between what it can tow and what it can tow legally on a road, lardies can tow 3.5 tonne but they are under speed restrictions on a public road .
-
Tow ratings on the mindys are really low
They have been known to really struggle pulling small/mid range caravans to mahindra rallies
think tow rating is approx 75% of vechile weight
brave/stockman is approx 1400kgs
cheif approx 1850 kgs
No doubt alan will be along with exact figures shortly
Unofficially i do know a marksman can pull and heavy trailer with another marksman on it but well overweight and not using standard brakes
