i'd stick with normal make batteries, the 3 people i know who had optimas had them die on them within 2 years, bearing in mind they are usually twice as much not really worth it
-
hi guys im new on here. with regards to the optima batts in my opinion they aint any better than a normal battery!! im a breakdown patrolman. and i,ve come across loads of optimas that have failed for no reason!{i have my theories why} the only advise i can give is use the largest leisure battery you can find as their designed to take a heavy discharge / charge rate! ideal for winches etc!!! hope this might help regards toad!
-
whats your theory toad
-
had thought of a leisure battery but space under the bonnet of a cherry is premium....so it has to be a very high power smallish battery.....
APB trading are way too dear......
Manbat seem to be favourite, good price & they got em in stock!!
-
Stick a second battery in the boot.
-
Use a DETA battery, choice of two: deep cycle or starter, similar in size and design as Optima, but made by?????
R thursby sells these for 125GBP incl shipping & VAT...
