Truck has been to the garage for the MOT - service - and to get the fleabay (steal) Pirelli AT's fitted.
3 of the 4 wranglers were past their sell by date so it was a good thing to have the 4 Pirelli's in the boot.
did not try the diy jack method (although greatly appreciated) but for a tenner a piece, fitting & balanced, could not be bothered.
only 2 advisory notes :
1) slight vertical wear in all 4 front suspension ball joints
2) slight wear in steering drop arm ball joint.
any comments on this by the techies ? because this will probably become an issue for next years' round.
So new shoes, new oils & filters....it just feels a bit smoother...tighter...better...driving home......(or is it just me?)
Might be snowing again tomorro......bring it on !!!

Well done mate! Good for another year

Got an advisory ref ball joints on the ZG last mot...any input appreciated...

As you have just fitted new bootz at such a bargain price why not get the ball joints done now to extend tyre life.
Lets face it, you probably have such a "fist full of dosh" waiting to be spent it's not gonna hurt too much is it
More realisticly - pound the bastards until next year and see if Mr. MOT passes them again, if not, get them done then!
Or from another point of view:
Why spend the money on a Jeep with Mother's Day round the corner - got to think of priorities here havent we? (Laundry v LSD - no contest is it).

cant coment on the ball joints on your model jeep but
some ball joints have a dectable amount of lift when new ...they get advised on or failed but are perfectly servicable
unless there is any side play or the lift becomes exesive
mecedes sprinter is a fine example of this
