Having spent a minor fortune on the grand in the past couple of weeks (about £600) the clutch packs on the rear diff will have to wait.
If I add another couple of bottles of additive to the diff would it quieten it down and stop it snatching so much after getting warmed up a bit and would it damage anything else in the process?
Having rebuilt the double cardan joint and today replacing the lower suspension arms opening up the rear diff makes me nervous still, lots of tolorences etc in there to mess up.

if you have already changed the rear diff oil and added some additive then adding another 2 bottles probably wont make any difference

bad news is that ultimately you need it rebuilt mate. nothing will happen with it making the mad nois though. mine was like it for well over a year with no probs.

ahhh!!!!
RIght then. In an abridged version... what would I need to do to get the old clutch discs out and the new ones in. Is it unbolt this and that and how long would you reckon it would take a noob to do it?
