Title: tow bar wiring
Post by: Davemate on March 11, 2009, 03:48:49 PM
which is the best side to connect up to
or do i have to split the multi core cable
to get both indicators connected up(ie one each side)
also whats the best way to run the cable
is there an access hole somewhere
or do i just drill a hole in the floor of the boot

Hi I fitted a towbar to my 97 cherry i drilled a hole just below the tail lights on the drivers side . i then run a 2core  cable from the passengers side rear lights to the drivers side . this cable i run under the rear door trim . i don't think it maters which side you put the towbar cable in . you just have to remember to run the 2core cable from the opposite side

ok thanks
i just wondered as on my old landrover
the loom went to one side
then a tail went over to the other
so you could do all the wiring at one side

Hi if its the same as a 1997 cherry the loom splits belowe the rear seat  thats why you have to run the 2core cable this should be spliced to the indecator and brake lamp
