'ello all, I have a '96 2.5TD XJ and I have no idea what fuse does what in the fusebox. i have looked through the owners book that came with the car but it doesn't match, so im assuming its the 4.0 layout.. did they come with a fuse cover which shows the fuses etc??
if someone out there knows what fuse does what and what or has a pic of the correct layout that would be sweet!!
cheers dudes!

This may help, from a 2000 2.5 td owners guide.

That's the wrong layout, '97 onwards.

I have just been out and had a nosey under the dash and Mike's right, its not the right layout, I took a photo this time though, my fusebox looks like this:

I have some info but it says for Jeeps between 93-95 (documnet last edited in May '05)
Don't know if that will be any use, I could try sending you a copy, PM me your email address.

I don't know if these will help. Ages ago I scanned my old 95 XJ manual, which does cover 2.5 diesels.
There is only 1 diagram for each of the fuseboxes. Probably the same as the one you have. Annoying
that no driver handbook for mk1 XJ diesels has the correct fuse layout.

Tim, you are an absolute star!! that is exactly what I was looking for!!
Much appreciated!
