As per my other post in General, I’m looking to buy a used latest style Grand Cherokee 3.0 CRD LTD.
Apart from the obvious visual inspection, does anyone know of specific issues I need to double check?
Also, on this model, is it possible to check the fault/error codes without specialist equipment and if so how do I do it? Is there a link to error codes and what they might mean on this vehicle?
Can someone tell me what the prefix/suffix is for this vehicle, i.e. ZJ, WJ for the older models, but what’s the current one?

Look here for plenty of info.... http://www.wkjeeps.com/kmenu.htm (http://www.wkjeeps.com/kmenu.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) but beware not much on Euopean diesels.
Ours are called WH, and are assembled in Graz, Austria. US built ones are WK, J33P WK plate available from me off my Jeep for a grand
Dont think you'll get the codes off without a decent scanner. Look on Jeep's UK site for a list of approved used models in stock countrywide.

Thanks Mike.
I've been looking at the jeep.co.uk used stock as well as autotrader and even ebay, but the pre March 2006 models are being offered at crazy prices by comparison to the post March models. The ones which do seem worth looking at have been sold by the time I phone.
