Does anybody knows the official part number of the drag link on a 1990 XJ??
-
Nope!
But here is a photo of a new one for my '97 TJ. The one at the bottom is the new standard one whilst the one on the top is from the US and had a 4" drop.

That's a pitman arm.

That looks like a pitman arm.
I'm talking about the drag link, the bar that goes from the pitman arm to the wheel and has the tie rod and steering stabilizer bolted to it.

Beat me to it Mike!!

Are they different 90 to 98?
Most motor factors have em, I got one a while back, think it was around £80

52006582 for all RHD XJs from 1991-2001

Mike, this one is needed for a 1990 XJ. Would the 1991 to 2001 cover that as well or did they change in 1991?
-
This is from the 1988 - 1990 Mopar parts catalog, obviously LHD.

give lighthouse a ring

Are you looking for left or right hand drive? There are no RHD listed before 1991.
-
It is actually a RHD 1990 XJ.
The car belongs to a mate of mine that lives in the US and he has asked me to try and get a RHD drag link in the UK as he's finding it difficult to get one over there. There was a RHD version of the XJ in the US made specifically for the US Postal Service. The reason postal XJ's are RHD is because the mailboxes are located on the side of the road. If the postie had a LHD vehicle, he'd have to be parked against traffic to put stuff into the mailboxes from the vehicle.
Anyway I'm just wondering whether the XJ that started in the UK in 1991 was the same as the RHD XJ's available to the US Postal service in 1990.
-
Probably. He should be able to get them in the US, Crown Automotive list them.

Cheers Mike!
