Another one for you experts out there.
I ran my girlfriend home whilst testing the brakes (O/S/F overheating is now minimal). I stopped at a shop to get some stuff, leaving her in the car with the radio on. I took the key in with me. When I came back she told me a buzzer had started going off, about a minute after I got out. This buzzer is somewhere under the steering column. It sounds as a constant high pitched buzz. It stops when I turn the ignition on, but it won't stop when the ignition is off, or even when I get out and lock the car.
Help me PLEASE!!!!

Went back down to see if the buzzer was still going, and it seems to have stopped now. I drove around for 20 odd minutes, stopping switching off and starting a few times. No more buzzer. Not sure what caused it or if it'll do it again. Ahh well, such is the joy of learning a new car's quirks.

Just a thought, have a look at the door switch / contact. Had to replace one on mine as it was sticking & left the interior lights on, drained the battery overnight.
Might be the control module in the drivers door playing up but far more technically minded folk will give you a more informed opinion

There is no warning buzzer down there on a '98. Only the electronic chime in the instrument cluster. Must have been a relay buzzing for some reason.

Indicator relays are the usual suspect

Now that I think of it, it was the same buzz as the indicator/hazard lights. Same relay probably. Hasn't happened again, so perhaps it was just a one off.
