Title: Wheel Spacers

Are these necessary when getting bigger tyres?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Not always, there are 2 main reasons to fit spacers, clearance for inner wheel well to bigger tire and stability.

The ideal is for every inch you go up you should go 1 ½ wider, that’s not always practical especially if you end up with 6” of lift (you would need 4 ½” spacers on each wheel). But when lifting try and go as wide as practical tacking into account usability on the road and off road.
