http://www.go.jeep-xj.info/HowtoHeadlightLoom.htmThe go.jeep has a good write up on how to improve the headlight loom on a cherokee. I had the problem of the lights flashing on and off after varying lengths of time on my mk1 cherokee. This loom upgrade take the load off the light switch. From start to finish the whole swap took me just over 2 hours to complete. Following the instructions and measurements which are pretty spot on so no excess wire to be stuffed out of the way. Initially it looks confusing with all the wires all over the place but if your methodical in what you are doing then it isn't a problem. I used two relays, one was for dipped and a higher fused relay for the main beam so i could use higher wattage bulbs if i chose. When it came to the big check for them working they didn't. This was just down to a bad earth which was sorted. The electrical connections were of the crimp type, they could have been soldered and covered with heat shrink tubing but at the time it was a case of getting the lights working.
A good modification to do before
