1" Motor mounts from the US, will they fit a UK TJ?
« on: September 10, 2005, 09:09:51 PM »

I'm guessing the engine is bolted to the same places....

Looking at a 2" Body lift and 1" Motor Mount lift....

Guess I'll need longer Brake hoses too... :(

Then 33's and a regear to 4.56 when my Tyres finally run out....

Maybe ??

Also... How much did any of you guys pay for a re-gear....

Cheers

EE

if you can save your ££s up it is worth fitting lockers at the same time as regearing.  I had Truetracs fitted and they are great, maybe not as good as ARBs in the hands of an experienced driver, but work well for someone with my level of skill.

Oi, don't spoil the next question......

Cheers for the info.... and I probably will... but the plan is to get agreement from the bank manager (SWMBO) and then get one of you to post that info up so that I can sneek that in after :) (On top of the "Agreed" Price

Am just getting Pissed off with the TJ doing 15mpg and 5th gear being crap....  Must get that exhaust sorted some point too.... Just can't see the point in £365 for an exhaust that you're gonner drag through the mud and that.... And I have to replace the Muds soon.... must be down to about 10mm tread now :(

Heres a write-up of what I have. I have the M.O.R.E motor mount
http://www.4x4xplor.com/MML.html

Im sure no matter what company you go with they are pretty close to the same when it comes to installation.

Regear you can pay anywhere from 800-1200 US for parts and labor.
