Well after much head scratching, I think I have traced the source of the mysterious oil spots under the front of the TJ.
As you look from the front, its about a foot inside the front passenger wheel in line with the axle. I think the culprit is the steering damper.
Only replaced this (or rather Doctor Bubbs did) in May.
Question is now, "do they all do that sir" or is it toasted. Presume a naff seal ?
Could be coincidence but I have said recently the steering seems vague again but the boss tells me I'm just used to driving Panzer's n associated German stuff
so that is not conclusive.
Got it from Lighthouse, got to get some new rear shoes soon so if you guys reckon its a duffer I'll have a word.
