Project Radio Security

Want some sounds for the CJ7, but with no door locks and living in Bristol I need to consider the twats that think its ok to take what they want.

So I have been looking for a lockable centre console, nothing I have seen retail was quite right (too big, mounting issues with my one piece seat mount etc) so decided to make my own.

OK so the Mk1 needs some work, think I might use some of the alley checker plate I have to make the Mk2, cardboard has a few issues with water and strength.

might use a real radio too, this one a bit quiet

as with most things it's down to size, I can only find 9"+ wide, with the seats I have fited only got a 8" gap, besides not a good time to buy from the states, what with the Pound being worth that same a Yen  :jpshakehead:

Just curious, how come you didn't look at the Tuffy consoles? They are almost exactly the same as your console.

cost and enjoyment, this was paid for with the exchange of favors and a lot more fun then just buying a unit off the shelf,

plus how many are made from TIG seam welded 1.6mm stainless steel and will fit exactly between the Recaros onto the custom sub frame and be the exact height for an armrest for my stumpy arms? :003:
