having a few 'issues' with my central locking/immobiliser on my 98 XJ sport namely that as soon as I use the lock button it'll 9 times out of 10 unlock itself again straight away and try to repeatedly unlock itself like ya sat on the unlock button! sometimes even when its already unlocked and the keys are on the side in the garage it'll start unlockin itself like ya sat on the unlock button
so tryin to think logically (does'nt come naturally) I'm gonna work back along the line startin with the RKE receiver, does anybody know where it hides out? I've tried the centre console above me head,tried behind drivers and passengers door cards and cant find anythin that resembles a receiver (I'm assumin its a kind of wire in the air out of a box job instead of IR) I'm gettin a little lost so if anyone can give me some pointers on where it is or how the system works (other than the obvious push a button an it unlocks!) much appreciated ta
