The Chief is getting a set of stock TJ flares to replace the originals, main reason is to open the arch for the 35's but also as that is where the cancer has set in so quickest route is to chop it out. Cant find it but remember a thread before about how aftermarket flares were fixed on to cope with abuse but not fuck up the metal or snap when getting abused, so, what have doods done that has worked?

Penny (sizes) washers and 10mm bolts........ holds the buggers on but will always do harm to fenders when pushed against rocks or trees.....

Tube fenders will be your friends long term

hmmm, tube fenders on a CJ most def, just dunno aesthetically it works on a Chief

fit the arches with trim pins, the little plastic push in things that look like little xmas trees, they will break before the arch does or any damage is done to the body and can be easily replaced (remember to carry some spares in the car when off roading)

I used rubber nuts - inserts with a threaded brass piece in to accept a 6mm bolt. Provides some flex when rubbing on trees.

One of the landies at Turkey Hunt just used wood screws!

Seemed to work and only leave a slight oval ish hole in the arch when ripped off.
