Now you have a Jeep, you need to get used to ordering parts from the US (unless you like getting
ripped off, that is). Start with ebay.com and see if they'l ship to the UK. Also, when you're searching
with google, make sure you use 'liberty' and not 'cherokee' or you'll be looking at the wrong vehicle.
(2002 onwards cherokees are called liberty here). If you find something you like, check with the
supplier that it will fit a 2.8CRD. As luck would have it, the 2.8CRD was sold here for a couple of
years. "liberty skid plate" would be a good search to use with google.com (not google.co.uk). You may
need to change your search settings to force it to use the USA site.
As Mike says, metal bull bars are a no-no in the EU, and yours is too new to say it was fitted before
the (retrospective) law came in. There are some approved A-bars
here.
While underside protection is sensible, never saw the attraction of bull bars. They're dangerous
and you can save time, money and possibly getting pulled over by plod, by looking where you're
driving. If you think something looks like it might do damage, then a) don't do it, or b) get out and
look first.
