Modified Track rod for XJ

Been having problems with the ball joint on the track bar giving out so came uo with this hope it works ok

that's a different way to mount to the body connection. makes it easier to swap over as the TRE is a bstwrd to get out.

Thanks for the complement guys, the Helm joint I got off the internet. The the clevis joint that's attached to the mounting bracket I had to machine out of a piece of bight drawn mild steel. It's a bit of an over kill considering that the other end is held in place with a pewny 3/8" bolt  :icon_biggrin:, will have to mod that once I've finished the twin speed cooling fan project (more details to Follow)

I've done this before
no matter how tight you do the securing bolt up, the housing will twist :banghead:
those hiems last 4-6 months :banghead:

Yeah Did think that about it twisting and can up with a simple but cunning idea. If you look closely at the first pic where the two brackets meet there's a couple of stainless steel dowels to stop it twisting :icon_super:
