ive enquired about the prop for the 3.7 litre car,can any one confirm if it definately wont fit as its only £100,ive also got a new  oil seal for the front diff is this an easy job to fit,also will my jeep have a cambelt(2.4 petrol)plus at the mo im only gettin about 18 mpg any advice to improve appreciated,cheers jon

It has to be for a 2.4 petrol model. 3.7 and diesels are different. Unfortunately, they're quite scarce.

I'd go with Doc Mike as he worked for Jeep for  quite some time & very familiar with the more recent models  :icon_winkle:

You have a timing belt, yes. The part number for a 2.4 manual front prop shaft is 52111594AA, but for a 3.7 auto it is 52111597AA.

thanks for info on timing belt,when is best to change it ,jeep has done 64,000 mls ,just looked in manual and it says 120,000 mls between changes so should i leave it alone

There's no reason why you can't if you'd rather, but it doesn't need to be done until 120000 if the manual says that.

cheers for the info on the timing belt,i went to a jeep dealer today and he said that 60,000mls was when the timing belt should be changed,he also wanted £500 to do the job,any thoughts appreciated,i think that the manual is right and he just want my money,on another note i have now got the oil seal for the front diff,any info on fitting most helpfull,cheers jon
