http://www.manchestertools.co.uk/neilsen-ball-joint-service-tool-10pc-p-34194.html 55 quid plus 5.50 delivery.
That's the cheapest I can see in the UK, though I can get one for $39.99 plus tax from a shop 200 yards away myself.

a very handy bit of kit to have, seems this will do the ball joints and can be used to press  out uv joint on drive shafts and half shafts,

very cheap state side, but the shipping can be over the top, then you have import duty and vat added to the value and shipping, blows importing out the water more or less, seems the goverment over here have now got internet sales  from over sea,s locked down, but i think the uk price is still ok considering how much money this could save me in garage fee,s...

thanks for the link,i would have never found it,i searched everywhere as well

I had to buy mine from the US ebay - £60 all done, but I had to make the 4WD adapters out of scrap steel at work. If they'd been doing them back then I could have walked there in 15 mins.

A little tip. Don't just try and push the ball joints out of the knuckle. Get the press good and tight and then smack the knuckle with a hammer. With the ball joint under pressure you should here a loud bang as it releases. Tighten up the press again and repeat until the ball joint moves under the force of the press alone.

just discovered today that the ball joint press is more or less a paper weight for trying to get uv joint out, unless you have proper work bench with a massive vice, after messing with the  axle shaft,at least wee got the c lips out, and a little bit of movement in the caps,we then through in the towle and called a local garage that had a real press, took it to them, they took one look at my axle shaft and popped it onto there bench and thrashed the living daylights out of it with brass malet,30 mins later and £15 out of pocket we were heading back up the road.

heavy rain and working outside made this job a nightmare, but the new uv looks good, going to press out the ball joint in the morning, hope its not raining, and get this job done.

doing the uv on the axle shaft was no real big deal for us,we were told to give it a good beating, but never done one before and you dont really know how much whacking is to much, then a job turns into a nightmare,in the new year we are going to clear my garage out for sure.
