interior lights disconnected

hello dastards,any ideas for me please.my newly accuired ckee 4,0 has had interior lights,engine bay and ign halo light disconnected,obviously cos they stay on ,been drivin it for two days and i really like it,juicy as fuck though,going to norfolk tonight to see my mum so will have 2 days to sort little bits out,thank you

I suspect you have a faulty door switch and/or wiring. This could cause the lights to stay on.

Check the dimmer for the dash lights isn't turned past the detent at the max brightness. The switch is designed so the interior lamps can be turned on and off manually by turning past the detent. Under hood lamp should go off when the hood is lowered, and come on when the hood is opened. The under hood lamp is mercury switch controlled.
