Grand 2.7 CRD front light bulb - info pls
« on: May 02, 2011, 10:46:49 PM »

Left hand headlight popped so needs changing.   Funny with the grand because you undo 1 screw, and then have to yank unit out of the bodywork.

Halfords today ......wrong bulb : not a straight fitting but a 90 degree one like this: [attachment=1]

No straight ones on the shelf. Does the oilburner have something special again ?

Looked on the bay : these seem to have straight fitting but this is this xenon stuff so any good ? [attachment=2]

i try not to use halfrauds, too many mistakes and always reckon they can get the part, then when it turns up its wrong

always try my local independent parts supplier first tho  :greggmo:

Autobulbs direct did it for me, XS bulbs seem to be like rocking horse shit, and few cars use them.  If you speak to Halfrauds, they will tell you, as do their guides, that the JGC uses 9005/9006 rather than the XS version - which unless you have a diesel, is probably correct.....

So - look on eblag or search for 9005/9006XS and get some nice ones.  The free 501s tend not to last either....
