Grand cherokee 2.7 crd heater question
« on: May 16, 2011, 11:06:44 PM »

Hi all, lots of posts about heater failures but havent found one the same, basically the temp adjuster doesnt...... its stuck on hot, however ive pulled the motor off and the spindle on the blend doors looks okay and still feel and sound like its attached so i think the doors are actually okay. Ive tested the motor on a battery and it rotates both direction smoothly, I havent tried the fault code thing yet, is it likely the motor isnt getting a signal? If thats the case any likely culprits? Ive only had a quick look at it at the moment would appreciate any ideas to prepare me for the expense!.
Thanks
Tony

you need to do the fault code readout, the heater uses all the temperature sensors on the engine and outside temperature to work out what's needed to get the
temperature your asking for with the dial. like does it need a/c on or recirculation door moved.
