Finally got the fault codes to display on the car, the codes are 48,52,54,56 then just repeats them. Ive checked the blend door spindle and its connected and doesnt appear to be broken, you can feel the thing turn when operating it by hand, ive checked the motor which again seems fine it turns both ways with 12v applied. Im suspecting the control unit as im guessing its not sending the signal to the motor to move hence the temperature is constant.
Any thoughts? im hoping the fault can be suggested before i start throwing money at it again (its cost me over 1200 quid in 6 months so far!!) but the thing is actually running perfectly at the moment so im hoping to keep it for a while! You can hear something moving when adjusting the temperature knobs but there doesnt feel to be any difference in the temp of the air coming out of the vents. All the directional vents appear to be working too. Would appreciate any ideas/thoughts
Thanks!

try deleting the codes as they may be old ones hold the AC and the RECIRC button then turn the left hand temp knob one click to the left to display the codes then press and hold the recirc button for 15 seconds to delete, if you get the same fault codes return then you may have a problem. is the temp at the vents always hot , always cold or inbetween , is there lots of volume of air at the vents as one i had in the past the recirc door had fallen from its mounts and was blocking flow from the fan motor.

go to the heater treater web site and watch the video of how to cut open the side of the heater, is the only easy way to see whats going on in there.
and how to fit it cheaply.

Will try to delete those codes as it may have some others stored as i run it without the door motor connected so that may have spooked it. The air coming out is even from all the vents, i was controlling the temperature by adjusting the blend door behind the glovebox by hand (it is free to move) im thinking its not giving the signals to the motor to adjust the doors and hence alter the temperature....or is that a bit to simple?? when adjusting the temp knobs you can hear what sounds like another flap moving under the dash so something is still connected back there. If moving the control arm behicnd the glovebox i can vary the temp of the air coming out, it was just moving by itself as soon as you let go of it, i blobbed a bit of silicon onto it to hold it in the warm poistion for the colder weather, having removed that its now blowing cold, worse case i can live with it, but would be nice to sort it! I did check that there is voltage on the connection onto the motor which there is.
Hope thats a help!

the heater in these is a real piece  of hi tec using internal vortices and high and low pressure zones to alter the flow and the temp . if the blend doors are operating ,these are the ones behind the glovebox and the temp is changing then that is one problem less . situated inbeetween the two temp knobs is a small window which houses the thermal sensor, this reads the cab temp and alters the blend doors to alter the heater temp. try holding a cold can of your favourite soft drink in front of it  set the temp knobs to HI and see if the temp from the vents alters.
