lookin at a winch i want a 12000lb winch cheapest i have seen is the t max but dont know if they are any good also like superwinch husky 12000 do any of you run one of these

I had a Husky on my LR, very heavy, not very fast but incredibly strong and reliable

when it comes to winches you only get what you pay for. me i run an eight year old warn 9000 and its never let me, down slow and steady and reliable and i can get all the parts if it does eventualy break. husky's are good slow and dependable. id go for a come up over a superwinch (come-up make the superwinches) as they are cheaper for the same thing............ then there is T-max

ever seen one at Ladoga??? rainforrest challenge??? winch challenges throught the uk???
cheap and cheerful but i believe spares are a nightmare to get hold of

search ebay for an old second hand warn fit an albrite solenoid pack and away you go, if you break it send it off to phil at pg winches and it will come back good as new (with the exception of warn HS range as parts are rare and they break the gearboxes way to often)

i run an x9 superwinch it does what it says on the tin i have no idea how good t max are but do know they are cheapish

it all depends on what ya want realy. the thing with warn, you pay for a name, i personaly think the superwinch blind em both for value and lifespan. look how many recovery trucks have the husky fitted and we all know the abuse they get on a recovery truck.

hey elvis, superwinch do an ep series 1200lbs and a 1500lbs and bowyear have em for under £600.

Posting from L4J over here in the states.  A friend bought a T-Max and it's done everything he has wanted it to.  I have a Warn 8000 on mine with the same results.  The speed winching on a T-Max is slower than a Warn but it's because the T-Max and other winches DO NOT have the same amp pull as the warn.  The warn will suck your battery dry unless you have a deep cycle battery.  When I winch out people I need to leave my jeep running because of that and other issues that have no bearing on the discussion at hand.  My warn was won at a meet and greet and all I have into it as far as cash was the mounting plate.  If I actually had the money and needed to buy a winch, I would buy a T-Max or any other name winch, if pulling speed is not a concern.

I purchased a 9500 lb Loadsure winch from "ndrive" on Ebay for £279 + carriage. Looks to be good quality, has 5.5hp motor (some cheaper ones are 3.6hp) It comes with roller fairlead, remote, all cables and mounting bolts and comprehensive instructions and parts lists.
Purchased on sunday night, arrived 8.30 am Tuesday.
Now had it 6 months and have to say I am very happy so far. It's done some major pulling out of nasty mud holes and works great. The motor runs cool even after a 90 foot pull and although it ain't the fastest winch on the planet it's fine for gettin' you out of the shit when you need it.
