Hi everyone,
Been looking round the site and can find info on tyre sizes related to lift etc. can't seem to find a definitive answer to standard spec. I have been told elsewhere that 235/80/16 fit without rubbing, but dont want to flash ma cash at some new AT rubber only to find they rub. Your expert help would be much appreciated.

turn your front wheels to about 1/2 lock so that the tyre is closest to the rear of the front bumper and measure the gap (check rear gap too). Smallest Gap x2 plus current size is the max you can run in theory.

I have seen 245-75-16s on a stock ZJ. If your wheels are a bigger offset or you run spacers you restrict the size of tyre you can run. Usually you can get the biggest tyre on the OEM Jeep wheels on a stock jeep (steering locks may need adjusting)


Your other issue is tyre are all different sizes for a listed size, some makes are bigger than others for given tyre size.
